▶️ What opportunities do you see for the company moving forward?

“Our greatest opportunity at the company is to operate as one unified GMC. Our combined capacity, along with all the expertise and experience we possess, significantly strengthens us and makes us unique in the market. What sets the company apart isn’t just that we operate the docks or facilities we have, but our skilled professionals with immense experience and in-depth knowledge of vessels.”

▶️  Where do you see the company in five years?

“In five years, GMC Yard AS will have many new customers and a broader range of products to offer our clients. New technology will be implemented in a purposeful and effective manner, with a focus on savings for both the customer and the environment. This will ensure that we, as a company, gain a stronger position in the market and as a supplier for our customers.”

▶️  What is the development like in the shipyard industry?

“The development is relatively conservative, but it is clear that what is happening now regarding green solutions for shipping will impact everyone moving forward. It will necessitate different requirements for technology, facilities, and knowledge among our workforce. The consequence of not keeping up with these changes is that we will fall behind. We aim to be a contributor to keeping shipping operations running and to be part of the chain that is essential for Norway to remain one of the world’s largest exporters of oil and gas.”
